My name is Tessa, I’m in my mid-twenties and I’ve been baking for as far as I can remember. I started with my mom, who herself learned her recipes from her own mom.
We’re basically a family that bakes, or that cakes to be more accurate. Because that’s the thing, all we ever really baked were cakes. Contrary to cakes, cookies, pies, and other treats were rare occurrences.
This must be the reason why I am now obsessed with cakes and decided to create The Perfect Cake Idea.

When I really got into baking, I realized two things :

Especially when you’re a beginner baker, because the cake you want to make might not suit your current baking skills.

What someone considers a good cake can widely vary from one person to another.
For example, to me, texture comes before anything else, and I really like sweet cakes. But that’s definitely not the case for everyone.
